Jakes

Bristol vet Jakes turns in five new tracks ready to test any system here. The title-track - complete with a near two-minute intro - is a proper tension-builder, amplified by the muffled war cries of Bok Nero, while Strikez' spoken word flow on the sinister, club lean of 'Omen' is equally as dark and sinister. 'Blades' ft. Khadafi Dub hits the chest plate more immediately, this time referencing a trap-esque bounce of its own, while on final track 'Sermon', he draws on revolutionary voices to round-off the EP in empowering, politically-charged fashion.
