J Hus, George The Poet and Little Simz are nominated for the fifth annual Rated Awards
The annual celebration of the best in Black British music returns for its fifth birthday
On Wednesday September 9 at 9pm BST, GRM Daily Rated Awards will livestream their virtual awards ceremony. This will be the awards’ fifth year of running.
The ceremony will be hosted by Mo Gilligan and Julie Adenuga, and will feature live performances from Kano, Dizzee Rascal, George The Poet, Ivorian Doll and Br3yna.
The time frame for nominations is between June 2019 and June 2020.

This week, a full list of nominees was announced.
Cadet’s posthumous release ‘The Rated Legend’ is up for Album of the Year against Stormzy’s ‘Heavy Is The Head’ and J Hus’ ‘Big Conspiracy’; drill group OFB are nominated for Mixtape of the Year for their release ‘Frontstreet’; and popular dating podcast The Receipts Podcast, hosted by Milena Sanchez, Tolly T and Audrey, aka Ghana’s Finest, is nominated in the category for Personality of the Year.
