J Hus and Section Boyz nominated in BBC Sound Of 2016 longlist
The winner is announced on January 8
The BBC has unveiled the longlist for its Sound Of 2016 poll.
London rap artists J Hus (pictured) and Section Boyz are both vying for the 2016 top spot after being included in the 15-strong longlist, with the winner being revealed on January 8.
Section Boyz already
picked up the MOBO award for Best Newcomer earlier this month, while J Hus has seen success this year with singles 'Dem Boy Paigon' and 'Lean & Bop'. The latter was recently remixed by Night Slugs honcho Bok Bok.
144 DJs, journalists and other industry workers take part in the annual survey that aims to predict next year's breakout stars, with previous nominees including Novelist, Stormzy and FKA Twigs.
