Ismus share full line-up for its 40-hour XL event

Ismus has revealed its full line-up and information for its forthcoming XL event spanning across March 10 and 11.

Taking place at Berlin's Alte Münze, 30 artists are set to play across two 15-hour parties, two on site afterparties, and an exhibition stacked with live visual installations.

The parties will see new residents Tommy Holohan and Høleigh join Ismus regulars and favourites including Alva, Charlie Sparks, Hadone and Felicie, with debuts being handed to Inez, AOIFE, and Onleash amongst others.

Afterparties - intended to create a "community sentiment" with cocktails and a shift away from hard techno and trance sounds - will be soundtracked by names including Sparkling Water Dreams, NiKi K and Whitley.

“Ismus XL is our biggest project yet," the hard dance party explains. "We’ve got three main club rooms, one of which has been curated by resident Alva, a gallery with installations, live visual performances throughout and an after-party area bridging both days.

"The idea is to offer a different style of event which is based on an interactive festival structure, moving away from unnecessarily extended weekender events and putting more focus on the artists & dance music community.”

The exhibition will be particularly of note, exploring the history and evolution of Ismus as a party, featuring works from Nick Cocozza, Lucia Markich, Calum Macleod & Liam Noonan. Alongside this, live visuals will be on show in sync with dancers and music, aiming to create a rounded immersive experience.

Since its launch in 2015, Ismus has evolved from solely a party to also a record label. Based in Berlin, it has hosted events in Glasgow, London and Zurich; its latest announcement is an all-nighter at Glasgow's Room 2.

All Ismus events have a strict no photo/video policy, with it mandatory to put a sticker over phone cameras before entry. They've an 'awareness team' at events too, on hand to approach should partygoers feel at all unsafe.
