Stroboscopic Artefacts is a Berlin-based label founded by Lucy, also known as Luca Mortellaro. The imprint launched in 2009 and had its first release by Lucy, his ‘Why Don’t You Change/Dub Man Walking’ EP. Stroboscopic Artefacts would continue its work as a techno brand characterized by complex and deep sounds with artists like Perc, Daniel Avery, Inigo Kennedy and DJ Deep. Lucy’s imprint has sharply sorted productions into six types: albums, EPs, compilations, the Monad-series, the Stellate-series and the sampler-series, all boasting the same black and white aesthetic.
