Ever since LA Priest released ‘Engine’, we knew Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound imprint would be a trip into the selector’s musical mind. There have been some truly legendary releases on Alkan’s label since 2007 and artists like Soulwax, Boys Noize, Connan Mockasin and Ghost Culture have submitted a range of originals, remixes and collaborations to the Phantasy hall of fame. Daniel Avery, who’s come up through the ranks via the guidance of Erol, released his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Drone Logic’ on the label in 2013 and is working on his follow up. Add to the amazing stable of artists some incredible, unique artwork and what you have is a label that’s continued to evolve and inspire from the moment it started.
