L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok’s Night Slugs label kicked off in 2010, gathering a stable of artists making next-level, bass-heavy club music that was uncategorisable at the time. Within its first year it had released records from Mosca, Girl Unit, Egyptrixx, Kingdom, Lil Silva, Jam City and Jacques Greene, changing the face of the UK underground forever. Fast forward more than half a decade and its influence has spread across the globe, thanks to pioneering full lengths (most notably from Jam City), EPs and compilations (its ‘Allstars’ series is a benchmark for new club music) as well as its visionary art and design.
