"Peek behind the curtain into the unseen world of Gorillaz," they announced, promising an hour-long experience that journeys the band’s "life of misadventures, musical innovation and groundbreaking virtual ways".
Named after their fabled home, Kong, the exhibition looks at all four virtual characters who front the band: bassist Murdoc Niccals, singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs and guitarist Noodle.
Initially aimed at celebrating the band’s anniversary, House Of Kong features era-spanning artwork, Jamie Hewlett’s original drawings, and pieces showing the development of each character in the band.
