Ignez announces forthcoming LP, 'Tides'

Ignez has announced his forthcoming - and first ever - LP with Belgian label Token Records.

Set for release on February 9, the record meanders through diverse soundscapes from emotional ambience to more club-ready, four-to-the-floor cuts. It acts as a testament to years of exploration and mirrors the ebb and flow of emotions of the Berlin-based musician.

"This project is like my personal mixtape through life," Ignez tells Mixmag. "To put it in context, the earliest track that made it onto the album dates back to 2015. Each song is like a snapshot, capturing a moment in the narrative of my journey, intricately woven into the fabric of my personal life. Some tracks emerged from moments of pure ecstasy, while others were born with tears in my eyes.

"For me, music is the purest form of self-expression, a process of alchemizing raw feelings into frequencies. As these elements come together, the profound moments guide me into a state of pure flow: an experience of clicking into a larger, cosmic resonance. These tracks create an unbreakable bond with me, and I often find myself looping them for hours in almost a healing ritual.

"This album aims to portray this seamless journey, capturing not only the emotions but also serving as my ode to nature, completing the circle. Growing up next to the beach, I've always found my deepest sense of peace in nature. It's a never-ending source of inspiration, and I am continually awed by its beauty. This album becomes a tribute to these intertwined aspects of my life that echo the rhythms of my journey."
