Moving Shadow adds entire catalogue to Spotify

Renowned UK label, Moving Shadow has released its full back catalogue to Spotify, work spanning over 200 EPs and over 30 albums.

The breakbeat hardcore, jungle and drum ‘n’ bass label has been running since 1990, with its catalogue of artists including E-Z Rollers, Dom & Roland, Foul Play, Future Prophecies and Corrupt Souls.

Also available on the label’s Spotify page are playlists curated by Omni Trio, Noisia, Calyx and more which showcase drum ‘n’ bass and Moving Shadow classics.

The label announced the move to Spotify with the following statement: “Whenever you feel the need to spice up your day with some quality Drum & Bass, you can now search for any of your favourite Moving Shadow tracks, build your own Moving Shadow playlists, or add any tracks from the back catalogue to any of your existing playlists.”

Founder of Moving Shadow and Goldie's former producer, Rob Playford has also curated a playlist featuring plenty of tracks by 2 Bad Mice and Kaotic Chemistry.

Omni Trio's Rob Haigh said his selection, according to DJ Mag, “shines a light on a few tunes and artists that might normally get overlooked”.

Calyx described his playlist as a “nostalgic tribute to the label that gave me immeasurable support, guidance and inspiration”.

The Moving Shadow website has hinted that “similar drops” are due to take place over on its YouTube channel.
