Ibiza Rocks Hotel has been temporarily suspended
Music will be back on at the venue as soon as possible
Ibiza Rocks Hotel is being held under a temporary suspension from all musical activity. According to the venue, previous management had failed to update paperwork following the move of the main stage in 2013. They also did not update the venue's acoustic study to comply with new regulation that came in during the same year.
The suspension was put into action on September 14 by San Antonio town hall and is being held until lawful requirements are met. The venue is hard at work trying to rectify the issues as soon as possible.
Ibiza Rocks CEO Andy Mckay said: "We have been operating within the legal limits set by the national and european regulations all summer and will continue to do so next summer with our continued weekly event programme. Ibiza Rocks Group took over the full lease and management of the hotel on 31st May 2016 and only then became aware that the previous administration had not updated important paperwork following the move of the main stage in 2013.
"We have been working collaboratively with the authorities to remedy any issues as we only wish to operate activities that comply with all local and national laws. We have now presented the updated paperwork to the town hall and as soon as they rubberstamp it, music will will back in the hotel as normal. The town hall and Ibiza Rocks share a mutual duty of care to the guests currently staying in the hotel so we are hopeful the town hall will process the paperwork as quickly as possible so our guests can continue their enjoyment of their San Antonio holiday."
