House legend Lil Louis’ may have been permanently deafened by ice cannon

House legend Lil Louis could have had his career cut short after someone blasted an ice cannon directly into his ear during his sound check at Sankey's in Manchester, forcing him to cancel the gig and seek immediate medical attention.

The blast from the horn at close proximity caused the DJ severe pain and resulted in him losing all hearing in his left ear, though he noted that he's awaiting the results of tests to see if the damage is permanent.
