Hospital Records opens mentorship schemes for emerging artists in drum ‘n’ bass
The programme will begin in 2026, offering 12 months of support from the Hospital team
Hospital Records has launched two mentorship programmes for women, female-identifying, and emerging artists in drum ‘n’ bass, set to begin in 2026.
The schemes were announced last week (November 20) on Instagram, with the label writing: “Applications for our 2026 Mentorship Schemes are officially open!”
The first scheme is created for women in drum ‘n’ bass production, offering 12 months of support to one artist with A&R sessions from the Hospital team, and educational sessions from the label and events team.

The production programme also spans sessions in marketing, curation of DJ bookings, music business, finance, design, and “other areas the mentee may desire”.
The second mentorship scheme is for new artists in drum ‘n’ bass, open to anyone looking to get their start. It also offers 12 months of support, with mentoring sessions in publishing and much more.
The deadline to apply is on Friday, December 12, with successful applicants taking part in the programme in the New Year. Just two people will be selected.

Hospital Records hosted its yearly Women In Drum & Bass event in Elephant & Castle, London, over the weekend, providing workshops, feedback sessions, and panel discussions for “women, non-binary, and trans-inclusive* producers, vocalists, DJs, fans, and industry professionals”.
Last year, a report from A2D2 found that, of the UK's 10 most popular festivals, women and non-binary artists appeared in just 37% of all line-up bookings in 2024.
