Friend Within turns in a bass heavy rework of 'Coastal Love' by Honne
On May 4, the hotly-tipped Honne dropped a four-track EP via their own label Tatemae Recordings and the London duo have nailed a delicate yet haunting sound with ease.
Even the most serene of sounds need a remix and 'Coastal Love', the title track of their new EP, has been given a bass-heavy rework from fellow Brit, Lee Mortimer aka Friend Within.
Mortimer has always been a purveyor of large low-end undercurrents and as Friend Within he's been smashing it out of the park. Ever since 'The Renegade', his whompy remix of 'Renegade Master' dropped, he's shot right back into the limelight. After working with Disclosure and playing in the sacred Lab London, the producer can do no wrong.
We've got the premiere of his edit and of course you can look forward to big hooks, prolonged builds and some mighty strong drops that will take you straight from the coast to the dancefloor. Big
