Honey Dijon announces Southbank Centre takeover, Honeyverse
Aqwea and Kampire will DJ alongside Dijon at the double weekend event
Honey Dijon is set to bring her new live experience, Honeyverse, to London’s Southbank Centre.
The Chicago artist’s new event series is set to feature a combination of live performances, talks and club nights — the latter of which will include DJ sets from Aqwea and Kampire.
Also set to play the double weekend event running this September, will be the Radiant Baby Orchestra, Alewya, Cakes Da Killa, Red Pig Flower and Gayance.

Running on September 9 and September 16, Honeyverse will takeover spaces of Southbank Centre such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer which will transform into a club night running late into the night.
The second event will see Dijon lead a panel discussion in the Purcell Room, focusing on the future of dance music, design and fashion with guests.
Commenting on Honeyverse, Honey Dijon said: “Discovery, Love, Joy. These are the tools of my creative practice and it gives me great pleasure to share with all of you the music and artists that inspired me in the curation of Honeyverse.

Head of Contemporary Music at the Southbank Centre, Adem Holness, added: “Honey is a complete force of nature, with an encyclopaedic passion for music like I’ve never known. As an expert in getting bodies moving I am so thrilled to have Honey shake up our entire site.
He concluded: “Honeyverse is a peak into Honey’s creative genius & a celebration of Black Queer dance music. We can’t wait to dance with everyone.”
