Honey Dijon and DJ Sprinkles to discuss gender and music at MoMA PS1
Progressive talks with industry leading artists
MoMA PS1 is set to host a forward-thinking series of events called Between 0 and 1: Remixing Gender, Technology, and Music, focusing on topics of gender nonconforming identities and electronic music.
Organized by the head of PAN, Bill Kouligas, Between 0 and 1 will consist of three weekend events in February featuring performances, talks, screenings, and workshops with industry professionals.
The series will launch on February 12 with a hackathon workshop and a screening of a film by Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz. Chicago native Honey Dijon will also make a presentation and host a discussion with Bill Coleman and Venus X.
On February 19, Terre Thaemlitz (aka DJ Sprinkles) will perform ‘Cantos I-IV’, a track off her critically acclaimed album ‘Soulnessless’ released in 2012. Following the performance, Terre and Honey Dijon will participate in a discussion moderated by Juliana Huxtable.
The conclusion of Between 0 and 1 will take place on February 26 with live performances by Elysia Crampton and Dreamcrusher along with a lecture by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.
