The Lab NYC is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate space connected to our Brooklyn office. This week Mixmag is excited to welcome Hisham Zahran in The Lab NYC on Friday.

With a focus on deep, melodic and ethereal dance music, Hisham Zahran has steadily gained recognition within the dance music community thanks to his wildly popular online mixes. His monthly radio show, The Next Level on Proton Radio, has been a source for fresh and forward-thinking tunes while also frequently featuring talented guest artists like Mark Slee and Gab Rhome. Not to mention he also holds a residency at Nacelle House Sessions, the wickedly popular underground party in Cairo, Egypt.

With a career still blossoming, Hisham is finding new ways to innovate with deep house, making him an in-demand DJ on the global club circuit. He’s shared the stage with artists like Dusky, Seth Troxler, Matthias Meyer, M.A.N.D.Y. and more, all while touring the world making stops in Brazil, Mexico, Spain, The Czech Republic and Germany among others. Not just a producer and DJ, Hisham is also focusing his talents on A&R for Anjunadeep, bringing forth an exciting new direction for the label.

Following his session in The Lab NYC he heads to Bespoke Musik’s Boat Cruise with Francesca Lombardo and El Txef A on Saturday, September 10.
