Helena Hauff reveals first new music of 2022 with massive tune 'Touching Plastic'

Electronic icon Helena Hauff has returned with her first new music of 2022: a single titled 'Touching Plastic'.

Having toured relentlessly over the last 12 months, the single release was accompanied by the unveiling of her forthcoming EP, 'Living With Ladybirds', set to be released on November 11 via fabric Originals.

The EP's name directly references her renowned 2019 project 'Living With Ants', presenting fast-paced electro whilst also adding a more vibrant and kaleidoscopic feel to the record. Melodic patterns are combined with the producer and DJ's jagged synths and glitching tones, which we see teased in the presently available 'Touching Plastic'.

The single is a percussive, electro-tinged cut which packs drum patterns throughout with a consistently, perfectly-fitting melody leaving a powerful drone from beginning to end with her curated placement of synths adding the extra dimension to its heavy groove.

Both the single and the EP as a whole stays true to Hauff's signature craft and sound whilst experimenting with some colourful and hypnotic elements to cement her return to creating tunes as one not to be ignored.

Its dance-floor ready, full-bodied energy is a raw and exciting contribution, perfect for the looming prospect of packed clubnights over the winter months.
