Mixmag has teamed up with Olmeca Tequila to bring you the World DJ Sessions: a series of eight events spanning the globe, all to be live streamed on MixmagTV, featuring the biggest international stars and the hottest local talent.

The Olmeca Mixmag World DJ Sessions will take place in China, Colombia, Korea, Turkey, and to kick things off... South Africa.

We're incredibly excited about the series, not only because we get to take our favourite big name artists to these territories, but it also gives us have the opportunity to showcase the most exciting DJ talent that those countries have produced.

For the first event we're teaming up our May cover star, Heidi, with one of South Africa's most in-demand artists, Culoe De Song.

First up on November 18 we have Culoe de Song. Hailing form the northern part of South Africa's east coast Culoe de Song has gained international recognition as a master of deep soulful house. He was soon snapped up by Black Coffee's imprint Soulistic Music where he has since released a fantastic string of LPs. What's more, Innervisions label; boss Dixon has also recruited him to release three outstanding releases on the German label.

Next up on November 19 we have the wonderful Heidi. Known worldwide for her Jackathon parties and residencies across the globe. A regular on BBC Radio 1 she also had a hand in setting up the very respected London record store Phonica records: her supreme knowledge and ability to jack a dancefloor is unquestionable.

This one's not to be missed. Cape Town residents should click here for guestlist – Olmeca Tequila is giving away 100 spots as well as a chance to win a VIP table for you and four mates with drinks on the house. The rest of the world can watch all the action below.

The series is part of Olmeca Tequila's Switch ON The Night initiative, dedicated to all things dance music. Check out some amazing short films about the Daft Punk Helmets, Ibiza Dancers and the history of the DJ here.
