The EP moves through different production styles: ‘Lovebook’ is a glitchy tape loop inspired by folk instrumentation; ‘Luxton’ showcases dubbed-out vocals and Bonobo-like drums; the title track is lowkey, with subdued, muffled drums and sustained synth chords.
The EP as a whole moves more towards an early James Blake production style of splicing and looping with soulful, heartfelt vocals over the top.
