Grimes is reportedly suing Elon Musk over parental rights

Grimes is reportedly suing Elon Musk over the rights to see their shared children, according to a report from TMZ.

Last week, the Canadian singer-songwriter filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” in a California court, per Page Six, which is not currently visible to the public.

It requests Grimes’ access to see their three children after a photo emerged online of Elon with Shivon Zilis, a Canadian venture capitalist, and the two children he shares with her. They were born in 2021, the same year of Grimes and Elon’s split.

The petition filed by Grimes also looks to identify a child’s legal parents while they are unmarried and could request custody or child support. According to TMZ, Musk has yet to respond to the petition.

In a since-deleted tweet, Grimes wrote: “Tell Shivon to unblock me and Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer. I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”

The children he shares with Shivon Zilis are two of Elon’s ten known children, including five he had with his former wife Justine Musk, and three with Grimes.

X Æ A-Xii, who was born in 2020, was Grimes and Elon’s first child, before secretly introducing Exa Dark Sidræl, aka Y, in 2021 via surrogate. Their third child, named Techno Mechanicus, was also kept secret until last month.

Their third child was revealed to the world via Elon’s biography, plainly titled Elon Musk, written by US author Walter Issacson and released in September.
