Gorillaz and Little Simz debut a fiery music video for their brand new 'Garage Palace'
Club beats and 8-bit warfare
Following the release of the most recent Gorillaz album ‘Humanz’ back in August, the virtual band’s frontman Damon Albarn has shared an additional track on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show.
Titled ‘Garage Palace’, the song features the UK’s beloved and hyperactive MC Little Simz, who is currently on tour with the band. The release of the hot-tempered track comes paired with an 8-bit, classic arcade inspired music video that shows Simz and the Gorillaz gang participating in trippy warfare against whoever crosses their path.
During his interview with Zane Lowe, Albarn detailed his work with The Good, The Bad, And The Queen’s for their upcoming album along with news that he is working on various collaborations with the likes of Flume and Mike Will Made It.
Mixmag had the pleasure of speaking to Gorillaz members Noodle, 2D, Russel Hobbs and Murdoc back in June. Check out the extensive In Session feature here.
