Goldroom b2b Le Youth in The Lab LA

The Lab Los Angeles is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly post-work unwind where we stream only the finest American and international DJs, direct from our Downtown LA office. This week we have the smooth house stylings of Goldroom and Le Youth.

Josh Legg aka Goldroom is a producer who believes that songwriting and electronic music are not mutually exclusive. His tunes are emotional and carried out properly when accompanied by a live band. However, Goldroom has made it so he's able to make the seamless crossover from a live band to a DJ set. Grab his recently released EP 'It's Like You Never Went Away' out now via Downtown Records.

For Le Youth, it's all about triggering nostalgia while keeping it relevant. He loves his 90s jams but has thrown his own spin on things to make some of the smoothest tunes in the game, which is perfectly reflected in his hit track 'COOL'. Le Youth is on a roll it seems with some massive remixes on the way for Jess Glynne, Alina Baraz & Galimantias, Seinabo Sey and Goldroom himself.

On opening duties will be LA-based DJ Sam Hiller.

Goldroom is playing at FYF in LA on Saturday August 22 with his full live band.
