Golden Pudel needs your help to re-open after fire damage
“The Pudel is saved, save the Pudel!”
It’s been a tumultuous year for the Golden Pudel. An ownership dispute threatened the beloved Hamburg nightspot with closure in February, and weeks later a fire ravaged the building.
The team behind the venue remained upbeat about rebuilding following the fire damage, and after securing the location in July, the project has begun in earnest.
In a statement posted on the Golden Pudel’s website, the club revealed that despite receiving some insurance money and help from the Mara & Holger Cassens Foundation for the Support of Art and Culture, the building requires more work that “will cost at least as much as five brand-new and showroom-fresh SUVs!”.
