Emily Eavis clarifies dad’s claims on Glastonbury name change
“Glastonbury will always be called Glastonbury,” she wrote on Twitter
Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis has clarified comments her father, festival founder Michael Eavis, made in regards to changing its name.
Michael told Paul Cannon on Glastonbury FM the festival would undergo a name change if it moves from Worthy Farm after 2017.
"The Variety Bazaar. It's a good name, don't you think? But presented by The Glastonbury Festival Team; The Glastonbury Festival Team presents... the Variety Bazaar," he said.
However, Emily took to Twitter saying the name Variety Bazaar was for a different event.

The event is taking a fallow year in 2018 to allow the site to recover and Eavis also said on the radio the festival will take place “halfway to the Midlands” in 2019 and every five years after that.
Radiohead are currently the only act officially booked for the festival after a bear was drawn next to the Pyramid Stage.
