Giolì & Assia announce third album 'Fire, Hell and Holy Water'

Italian producers Giolì & Assia have announced their third studio album, 'Fire, Hell and Holy Water', set to drop on September 9.

The musicians, DJs and label-owners also shared their new single 'I'll Be Fine', which follows recent tracks 'Silence' and 'Fire Hell and Holy Water' and offers insight into what is to come from the full LP.

It is a tune which layers piano chords and delicate soundscapes with smooth vocals, operating as a "mantra" for the duo during lockdown: "Whenever we play this track live it seems to connect so strongly with our fans," they explain.

The single release is accompanied by visuals taken from the duo's video series, which shares live performances by the duo in remote locations such as Iceland's Krysviksberg Cliffs and a volcano in the Aeolian Islands.

'Fire, Hell and Holy Water' will be the pair's largest body of work to date, including their three singles and a further 13 more tracks. Its name stems from a local saying in Giolì & Assia's native Italy, with its contents documenting the duo's highs and lows as a couple and untimely losses of relatives during the pandemic.

“FIRE HELL and HOLY WATER: it’s us, it’s duality, it’s mother heart, it’s a feeling. It can be darkness and light, anxiousness and calm, madness and peace, timeless and perpetuity, travel and experience, silence and chaos, love and hate," they elaborate. "A disruptive and innovative sound with a different perception of a metaphorical reality about life, love and emotions. Heavenly melodies and intense beats, the most beautiful expression of our deepest inner.

"It’s something you can relate to, something we always asked to ourselves, something we all have been through, something we all have tried to hope and find. New, fresh and uncommon, get ready for it."

Having formed in 2017, the pair have honed their progressive house sound and marked their name as mainstays since their emergence five years ago. In this time, they've held down a residency at Ibiza's Privilege and embarked on a sold out US tour and an array of international dates.

Giolì & Assia's third album, 'Fire, Hell and Holy Water' will be released on September 9. You can pre-order it here.
