Fundraiser event to support “life-changing” MS treatment for wife of Leftfield’s Neil Barnes
‘Dance For Tan’ will go ahead on January 31 at Concorde 2 in Brighton, headlined by Leftfield
A fundraiser event is set to go ahead next month to raise funds supporting “life-changing” multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment for the wife of Leftfield’s Neil Barnes.
Dance For Tan will take place on January 31 at Concorde 2 in Brighton, running from 3:PM until 10:PM with a headline performance from Leftfield, and a rare DJ set from Renegade Soundwave.
The event hopes to raise money for Tania Sansom, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis four years ago and is now seeking specialist treatment in Mexico.

“Unfortunately, as time has gone by, the symptoms of this disease have gotten worse,” reads a GoFundMe set up by Tania in July. “I'm now using a stick to walk for five minutes or longer, and I am in pain most or all of the time.”
“As it is, I don't know how long it will be before I worsen further – perhaps needing a wheelchair and being unable to work (which would be such a shame as I've recently retrained as a counsellor/trauma therapist, which I love).”

The event, billed as a “day rave”, will raise money toward treatment that could stabilise Tania’s MS and “prevent symptoms worsening” – a combination of chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation, which she says is “difficult to get on the NHS”.
Dance For Tan will be hosted by Brighton record label Jack Said What, and also features sets from Jon Carter, Steve Mac, Carl Loben, EVL Tom, Mini Da Minx, Nickelle, Sarah Monument, Zoe Vice, Pattern Perception, Toni Tambourine, and more to be announced.
