François X marks new chapter in his artistry with forthcoming EP 'CEO'

François X has announced his forthcoming EP, 'CEO', set for release on June 16.

The record features six tracks which blend edgy techno rhythms with injections of groove, elements from cloud rap, and pop music inspirations.

Lead single 'Cowboy Executive Officer' - which the EP's title abbreviates - is available to listen to now. Heaped with bouncy techno, the track is sandwiched between an ethereal opening, melancholic finale, with genre-bending soundscapes surrounding that.

"With 'CEO', I wanted to create a comprehensive artistic statement that reflects my evolution as an artist and my desire to be understood and accepted as an outsider," François X explains. "The EP blends different genres and showcases my strengths as both a producer and songwriter, inviting the listener on a journey of self-discovery and artistic ambition."

The exploratory nature of sonic palettes throughout the record showcases just that. It represents the duality of his external presentation as a charismatic and prophetic person, but also the deeply emotion, strength and sensitivity which lays beneath.

This is illustrated most blatantly with EP closer 'Broken Dream Fantasy', which ends wistfully leaving the listener anticipating what is next to come for the producer and DJ.
