Francis Inferno Orchestra announces new ambient LP 'Veranda Culture'
Stream the first track 'Allodynia' ahead of the October 6 release date
Francis Inferno Orchestra has announced his second album 'Veranda Culture.'
The London-based Melbourne producer moves into new sonic territory on his latest LP, which paints a tranquil soundscape that balances new age ambience, rhythmic percussion and echoing synths throughout a 10 track journey.
Recorded over three years between his home city and London, FIO, aka Griffin James, began creating the album after discovering the debut LP of Greek-born, US-based composer Iasos, ‘Inter-Dimensional Music,’ in Melbourne’s Liquorice Pie record store. He finished writing the album in London during a somewhat hectic period while feeling the pressure-cooker environment of the UK capital.
The release, the first on a new label of the same name, follows the 90s-inspired, dancefloor-oriented 'Oasis and A Time' EP from earlier this year, released on the Melbourne-based label he runs with Fantastic Man, Superconscious Records.
Stream 'Allodynia' from 'Veranda Culture' below. The record is out October 6.
