Manchester is absolutely killing it right now.

A thriving music scene's nothing new for the city, a place that was home to the Haçienda and a hotbed of acid house raves in the early 90s. Fast forward almost two decades and MCR's swelling with talent. There's Acre from the Project 13 crew producing icy, screwed up beats, Bugzy Malone flying the flag for grime, DRS continuously delivering the goods in d'n'b and the nutty LEVELZ lot sending ravers into a frenzy wherever they go.

Then there's Swing Ting (geographically split with London), the collective featuring Samrai, Platt, Fox, Florentino, Murlo, Brackles, Joey B, Madd Again!, Trigganom and Famous Eno. You couldn't pin ST to a single genre but one thing that's always guaranteed is a gully riddim. Delve into the SoundCloud and you'll be treated to seductive dancehall, blissed-out reggae and bass-laced beats.

Release number eight on Swing Ting arrives in the form of Fox's 'Musik', a six-tracker featuring production from the members mentioned above and Puppy Disco. Murlo and Samrai pitch in on 'Downtown Uptown', a slice of tropical goodness to soundtrack the summer dances. Whatever the genre, you know Fox will always bring the vibe.

'Musik' is released on June 17 via Swing Ting. Pre-order it here and catch Fox at the EP launch party on June 18
