ForTunes is the new app giving music creators more access to their online data
Keeping tabs on campaigns and engagement will be easier than ever before
As every artist hustling to get noticed in the music business knows, using every tool at your disposal is crucial to having the upper hand.
Enter ForTunes: a new app that gathers information like plays, playlist placements, blog postings and user-generated content, and presents it in real time, allowing creators to monitor their audience development and interaction at their fingertips.
Launched in February for iOS, with a desktop version due in July, the app already has hundreds of users and has partnered with Hype Machine, Europavox Festival and the Association of Independent Music.
Florian Richling, founder of ForTunes, added: “ForTunes was created by and for musicians. We know the hustle of doing blog outreaches, tracking the performances of songs and trying to push music productions out there, DIY style. Data doesn't have to be for large agencies and corporate think-tanks. Data should flow freely, and be used by creative minds to do meaningful things.”
