DJ fined £1000 for 'lending' soundsystem - three days before Downing Street flat party
The former 1Xtra DJ was accused of "lending" sound system to a rave
A former Radio 1Xtra DJ has been fined £1000 for supplying an illegal rave with a soundsystem.
The rave was held days before the alleged Downing Street flat party which has been investigated by Civil Servant Sue Gray, whose report will be released later today.
Boris Johnson’s Chief Adviser, Dominic Cummings, and Communications Director, Lee Cain, left their roles soon after the alleged get together.

Maressa Innerarity who is also known as Carmen London provided a 200 people warehouse rave in Bethnal Green with a soundsystem.
Police were called to the event in November 2020 as a resident had a noise complaint.
The DJ was not the organiser of the rave, however, prosecutor Nathan Paine-Davey said according to The Mirror that her offence was enough to change her for being involved in holding the gathering.
The prosecutor also said: “This relates to November 7 and 8. The defendant has been charged with an offence against the public protection coronavirus restrictions regulations which were in force on November 5, 2020.”

Eric Kawoya, defending, said Innerarity had been asked by two friends if they could borrow her sound equipment and added that his client did not know the equipment would be used for a party.
The court heard that Innerarity has not worked in two years and is on Universal Credit.
Innerarity admitted to the offence on the first day of the trail.
