Fluida
'Gold Spirals'
7/10
Fluida bring their third EP to the mighty Southern Fried.
With previous releases finding favour with a diverse bunch ranging from Lauren Laverne to Joris Voorn and Tiësto, Fluida’s new EP is a multi-layered affair full of melancholia, depth and melody. ‘Jambu’ is the highlight, as it shuffles along with glacial sounds and a bumping bassline: it sounds like Seb Wildblood working with Shadow Child and would be lethal in a set by Luciano.
‘Cherish’ has a classy feel with a well-used vocal hook, and final track ‘Empathy’ is included in both an original form and dub version.
