​Floorplan announce first new album in five years, ‘The Master’s Plan’

Floorplan - the Detroit-hailing duo made up of Robert and Lyric Hood - are set to release their first album in five years this month, ‘The Master’s Plan’.

The LP is due to arrive on Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company on Friday, June 21, made up of a whopping 18 tracks featuring the likes of Honey Dijon, Dames Brown, and more.

‘The Master’s Plan’ marks the duo’s fourth studio album, and their first in half a decade following 2019’s ‘Supernatural’. The record fuses their “light and dark” signature solo sounds spanning house and techno.

Speaking on the record, Robert Hood explains: “In these troubled times, we are grateful to be able to share our music with the world - especially the dance community.”

“This is an invitation to eternal salvation,” he says. “‘The Master’s Plan’ is expanding on that precept that where we’re going, those who believe, are never going to grow old and will never die.”

The final preview to be released from the record, ‘Feel It’, landed in May with credit from Robert Hood to his daughter for “changing my ideas about what Detroit house could be”. Check it out below.

Both Robert and Lyric Hood have worked on solo projects over the past handful of years since their last release, amidst a non-stop touring calendar.
