Floating Points announces new Mojave-inspired short film and soundtrack
Reflections is the first of an ongoing location-based series
Floating Points has announced a brand new short film titled Reflections - Mojave Desert, an audio and visual experience directed by Anna Diaz Ortuño with 27 minutes of never-before-heard musical compositions.
The work, which sprouted from rehearsal sessions in the Mojave Desert in between US tour dates, is inspired by the vast landscapes of the location, with encapsulating sepia backdrops and sound-hugging formations.
Floating Points uses its Reflections project as the first installment of an ongoing series that will showcase environmental recordings and the group's experience in different locations around the globe.
Reflections will release on June 20 as both a full short film and soundtrack via Pluto.
