FKA Twigs shows off her 'Figure 8' on new tune
She says it's inspired by voguing and will appear on a new EP later this year
A new FKA Twigs track, 'Figure 8, premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show last night, with the singer saying it came about after learning how to vogue.
It'll appear on the forthcoming 'EP3', joining 'Glass & Patron', and has Twigs expressing her usual dulcet tones amid a swirl of woozy synths and ratchet clicks.
On how it came about, she told Zane: "It's called 'Figure 8' because eight represents eternity and I was feeling quite sad and a bit lost.
"I went to New York and started to vogue and met this amazing vogue dancer called Derek Prodigy and I started to do some lessons with him and going to vogue clubs. He told me every hand movement that you do in vogueing is a figure of eight and that is eternity. Every single move has to flow into the other."
