FISHER pulls out of Parklife headline slot due to wife’s pregnancy

FISHER has pulled out of his headline slot from Manchester’s Parklife Festival this weekend due to his wife’s pregnancy.

Parklife passed on a statement from FISHER to fans on Twitter on Friday, May 31, explaining some “hiccups” that his wife Chloe has experienced with her pregnancy.

“I wanted to share an update about my upcoming show at Parklife,” he explained just a week ahead of his scheduled headline performance alongside Chris Lake.

“Chloe’s due date isn’t until later in June so I had all intention on making Parklife (and all the other shows I’ve had to miss), however this little unborn human has had other plans,” he said.

He continued: “We’ve had a few minor hiccups the past few weeks and our doctor has recommended I stay close to home and be with Chloe during these times of uncertainty.”

The festival passed on their best wishes to the Australian DJ and producer on his imminent fatherhood, explaining that “further details on programming” will be announced in the coming days. As of yet, no one has been announced as a replacement for the duo.

Fisher and Chris Lake were set to come together as Under Construction in “European first” this weekend, performing a headline set at the festival’s Hangar stage. It was due to be their only performance in Europe in 2024.

Parklife Festival 2024 takes place this weekend at Manchester’s Heaton Park from June 8 - 9. This year’s bill toppers include Doja Cat, J Hus, and Disclosure (marking the duo’s only UK festival performance in 2024).
