Felix Da Housecat launches Founders Of Filth imprint
“An imprint where no rules apply”
Influential Chicago house DJ and producer Felix Da Housecat is set to launch his new label dubbed Founders Of Filth.
The inaugural release on the imprint is comprised of three original productions, showcasing Felix’s talents as an experienced, Grammy nominated producer with over three decades in the industry.
Of the three tracks found on ‘Founders Of Filth Volume One’, one is a solo production while the other two feature noteworthy talent. Legendary vocalist Jamie Principle, who broke through on collaborations with Frankie Knuckles, appears on a track while the release is capped off with a collaboration between Felix’s alter-ego Aphrohead and Montreal DJ and producer Clarian.
Felix revealed why he chose to start the new label and what people can expect from its output: “An imprint where no rules apply. You can be as creative as you want to be, as a community. I just got so tired of fighting labels and for my people to shine, it went on deaf ears”.
