Feelings locks in Mood II Swing and Todd Edwards
The perfect Christmas warm up
London promoters Feelings have locked in Mood II Swing and Todd Edwards for a special Christmas New York Garage special. The group will celebrate a year in the game at London’s The Steelyard on December 9.
Todd Edwards is recognised as one of the forefathers of garage. Known to his fans as ‘Todd the God’, the Grammy award winner produced elements of Daft Punk’s seminal ‘Face to Face’ and ‘Discovery’ albums.
Next on the lineup are New York natives Mood II Swing, the cult duo made up of John Ciafone and Lem Springsteen. The ‘90s saw the group release a slew of now legendary house cuts defined by their signature swung, intricate programming.
Both names were instrumental in creating a sound that would transform into UK garage after hitting British shores. Bulking out the lineup are hip-house producer DJ Slyngshot and FOOLS.
Feelings are celebrating a year of parties which have seen sets from Kevin Saunderson, Virgo Four, Nicky Siano, Boo Williams, Tyree Cooper, Patrice Scott and Byron The Aquarius among others.
