Fatima Al Qadiri charges the 'Battery' on new track

Her forthcoming album 'Brute' is out via Hyperdub on March 4

Hyperdub has shared the first tune from Fatima Al Qadiri's second album.

'Battery' is part of 'Brute', out on Kode9's label on March 4, and falls under the theme of eerie spookiness, featuring woozy chimes, ripping synths and grave-like flutes.

The album artwork is equally chilling, focused on a figure looking largely like a riot policeman from the future, weirdly resembling the Teletubbies.

'Brute' follows 2014's 'Asiatisch', also released on Hyperdub, and the debut album of Future Brown, the group she's in with J-Cush and Nguzunguzu.
