For over a decade Fanu has been creating the most insane and intricate future d'n'b, taking choppage to the next level and treating fans to advanced Ableton Live sets that actually push the limits of the software.

But Fanu's always harboured a deep love of 90s East Coast hip hop, recording some killer laid back cuts under his FatGyver alias. And during the last six months he decided to dedicate some proper time to the beats that, in many ways, have inspired the aesthetics of his d'n'b. The result is 'Talk To Strangers' his debut hip hop album released earlier this month on Redefinition records.

Redef(inition) Records is an extremely respected label with it's roots in New Jersey and Washington DC. Ran by Damu The Fudgemunk. The likes of MF Doom, and Pete Rock have collaborated on the imprint that has a history of pushing a nostalgic sound: raw, beats and classic sampling techniques.

To celebrate his release and his love of the label, FatGyver has dropped this all-Redef mix especially for Mixmag. Lounge back, roll a fat one and enjoy some of the classiest hip hop going.
