Everything But The Girl release new single ‘Caution To The Wind’
It’s the second release from their forthcoming comeback record ‘Fuse’
Everything But The Girl are back with their second single in the lead-up to their forthcoming record ‘Fuse’, due to land on April 21, 2023.
Following last month’s comeback track ‘Nothing Left To Lose’ - their first release in over 24 years - the duo dropped another teaser of their upcoming record earlier today with the new single ‘Caution To The Wind’.
Made up of husband and wife Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, Everything But The Girl originally split at the turn of the millennium following their 1999 record ‘Temperamental’, and later came back to release the 2008 compilation record ‘The 90s Collection’.

‘Caution To The Wind’ is the pair’s second release in over two decades ahead of their full-length record due to land in April via Buzzin’ Fly/Virgin.
Speaking on the track, Tracey Thorn said: “Lyrically, ‘Caution To The Wind’ is a simple song about arrival and seizing the moment, so with the music we tried to capture the feeling of a perpetual point in time.”
“I let the words quickly collapse and loop inside the production,” said Watt. “The drums emerge and repeat, and everything then starts to unfold in cycles of anticipation and release. I guess it’s just classic nightclub tension and euphoria.”

Everything But The Girl first formed in 1982, releasing 10 albums before their split in 2000. The musical project was put on pause in 1992 after Watt was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Churg–Strauss syndrome, hospitalising him for 10 weeks.
The instrumentalist released a memoir titled Patient in 1997, detailing his near-death experience and his process to recovery.
