Escor Krist
New Void City
8/10
Although Escor Krist hasn't released many EPs yet, we've been seriously impressed by the work he has produced for Boysnoize Records. The Los Angeles producer has shown that he's got the knack for creating razor-sharp electro and techno, so it's no surprise that Alex Ridha snapped him up for his label's roster.
'New Void CIty' is Krist's latest offering, and it's inspired by the "rise of police brutality & post-NSA era we live in". That'll explain the brutality of its sound, then: if you like your electro steely and industrial, then this will have you frothing at the mouth. There are five stunning tracks to choose from in total, but our picks are the mind-fucking 'Kovert' and mutant groove-fuelled 'New Void Order'.
Killer stuff.
