Eluize
'Talk In Technicolour EP'
8/10
Night Tide is the label brought to you by Eluize, the Australian producer and DJ who’s now relocated to Berlin. With this EP, she melds together her influences of house, techno, disco and acid.
‘Make Me Sin’ is a dark groover that sounds like a moody Maya Jane Coles, with Eluize’s own floaty vocals giving a lighter touch to a sincere piece of house. Title track ‘Talk In Technicolour’ sounds like it could be on Soma and ‘Up All Night’ comes on like early Detroit Swindle, with Hans Berg’s remix of the latter perfect for those moments when the sun is starting to break through.
With her work on Night Tide, her own productions, a day job with Dirt Crew and a busy DJ diary, Eluize is a name to watch.
We look forward to more releases soon.
