Ellen Allien in The Lab LDN

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party and this week we welcome Ellen Allien.

Over the past two decades she has helped shape the global scene as we know it, exerting influence through the release of her own groundbreaking records and the hundreds more that have arrived through the BPitch Control imprint she helms.

Her tour dates serve as a testament to her expertise, with the world’s most renowned parties locking her in for appearances. In the next two months alone she’ll be hitting Movement Festival in Detroit, hosting BPitch Boogie events at IPSE Berlin’s May Day celebration and in Barcelona for Off Sónar, and heading back to Ibiza for another residency at Circoloco.

This month saw Allien’s most recent album ‘LISm’ pressed to vinyl for the first time following its initial release in 2013. The LP, which features reworked compositions of tracks produced for a dance performance at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, marks her most leftfield work to date. Next up, her ‘Turn Off Your Mind’ EP lands on wax on April 29, featuring the mesmerising ‘Off’ which we premiered ahead of its digital release. Head here to listen.
