Electric Forest responds to claims of “severed finger” found on festival grounds
“Many things may have been lost in the forest..."
A photo of a “severed finger” apparently found at Electric Forest went viral after the first weekend of the festival, which prompted organizers to respond in order to clarify that it was not in fact a real finger.
The photo in question was originally posted on Snapchat with the caption that read “Found a finger at the forest”. The photo revealed what looked to be a bloody, severed finger in the grass, found during clean-up of the festival grounds.
In response to the photo being posted around the internet, Electric Forest isseed a response: “Many things may have been lost in the forest - minds, hearts, faces - but not a finger”.
Fortunately the Michigan State Police confirmed it was simply a “very real looking fake finger”.
