Michael Eavis announces "enormous" 'Glastonbury-on-Sea'

Michael Eavis has announced plans for 'Glastonbury-on-Sea'.

Unfortunately there won't be a special edition Glastonbury held on the coast, instead a 60-metre pier will be built on the site of the festival this year.

Glastonbury founder Eavis was speaking at the launch show of Joe Rush's Stories From The Wasteland. Rush's sculptures and artwork have featured at Glasto since the '80s.

Eavis said the "enormous" pier will resemble one from the Victorian era and will be called Glastonbury-on-Sea.

The initial line-up was revealed last week, with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Streets, Jorja Smith, Wu-Tang Clan and Lauryn Hill.

Glastonbury has also outlined plans on not to sell plastic bottles at Worthy Farm this year.
