Eagles & Butterflies shares euphoric new single 'Retropolis'

Eagles & Butterflies has released his new single, 'Retropolis'.

Part of his forthcoming EP, which drops on October 14 via Gerd Janson's label Running Back, it's an infectious, dancefloor-ready affair which pairs robotic synths with electro and euro-disco sounds to boot.

The final result seems perhaps unsurprising, given the working file was reportedly named 'Italo', channelling the euphoric energy from the get-go.

“‘Retropolis’ for me is the past meets the future,” the producer explains. “I love influences and technology from the past and making music that sounds like it could be from for a time yet to arrive."

And, after this single release plus forthcoming EP, there's even set to be a part two pencilled in for release early 2023. In the meantime, there's going to be a celebratory EP launch party at Berlin's Muting the Noise on October 13.

"Set for release on my favourite label, Running Back, I can’t wait for people to hear both part one and part two and take a trip to Retropolis.”
