Dusky and Shanti Celeste remix Orbital’s ‘Are We Here?’
The UK producers celebrate the track’s 30th birthday with two stellar reworks
London-based duo Dusky and Bristol’s Shanti Celeste have come together to release a two-track remix pack of Orbital’s ‘Are We Here?’ in celebration of the record’s nearing 30th birthday.
Under the track title ‘Are We Here? (30 Something) [Remixes]’, both producers filed their latest ode to the 1994-released record in the form of two reworks.
Kicking off the two-tracker, Dusky pump the single with new samples, bringing an electro edit of the track with a more stripped-back, percussive sound.

“Orbital are some of our all-time heroes so it’s been a real honour to have remixed their 90s classic ‘Are We Here?’ out now worldwide,” the pair said on Instagram today following the record’s release.
In a much different take, Shanti Celeste’s uplifting, high-tempo rework of the 90s track brings it right back to the duo’s melodic readiness with a dancefloor-ready remix.
Posting on Instagram earlier today, the Bristol-based producer started: “Kicking this year off with a little treat from yours truly!

“This has been in the works for a while and I'm really proud to share with you my remix of Orbital 'Are We Here?' available now in all the usual spots! Ty to everyone involved in making this happen, very honoured to have been asked to remix such legendary musicians.”
Last year, more Orbital classics were remixed by major names to celebrate 30 years since their most iconic releases, such as Special Request’s remix of ‘Chime’, and ANNA’s double-track remix of 1991’s ‘Belfast’.
