Dullah Beatz

Dullah Beatz, consistently one of the best instrumental grime producers of the last 18 months, pulls out all the stops on the brilliantly titled 'Ballys On'. The title track, a record that builds suspense like a classic horror score, is one of Dullah's most identifiable, but it's his knack for earworms that makes this EP. Take 'Time', an absorbing five and a half minutes of trickling melodies layered over hit after square wave hit. 'Oil Gang', like 'Ballys On', is another rude-as-fuck Boxed classic and arguably the standout, but the enchanting, hushed melodies on 'Floating' are also in with a shout. A very, very good EP.
